General Programs and Services
Something for Everyone
MCR HQ CIC is dedicated to enriching the lives of community members in the East Manchester and Tameside area. Our staff work extra hard all year long in order to keep things current and available at MCR HQ CIC! There are a variety of programs and activities available for people of all ages to engage in, and we’re happy to offer our community a wide range of options for them to enjoy.
Op Raven: Veterans Mental Health First Responder Training
Op Raven is a program provided by MCR HQ which offers free CPD accredited Mental Health First Responder courses for veterans who attend veteran clubs and gatherings.
The aim of Op Raven is to provide veterans with the skills and knoweldge to recognise and provide first aid for other veterans who display signs and symptoms of poor mental health. These veterans may attend Armed Forces Veterans Breakfast Clubs, Veterans NAAFI breaks or Veteran drop in centres.
The program is also available for staff of veteran charities and CICs at a reduced cost of £25 per person.

CPD Accredited Courses
We currently offer CPD accredited courses in Level 1 & 2 Safeguarding, Designated Safeguarding Lead and Mental Health First Responder. We are in the process of gaining accreditation for courses in Mental Well-being Toolkit and Mental Performance.
These courses start at a very low rate of £25 per person with discounts for large group bookings.

Op Argos: Veteran Dog Support
MCR HQ collects and distributes dog food and treats to veterans across the North West. Often veterans who are experiencing financial difficulties sacrifice their own meals to feed their dogs.
We accept donations of dog food and deliver to veterans to ensure both veteran and dog are fed.
Dog food can be collected by us or alternatively, can be dropped off at MCR HQ at an arranged time.
